Companies

Summer, parks, sport - and softball. Britain loves long summer days in the park playing games and what better way to do this than to organise a softball programme for your company? Softball is all the rage in city parks across the capital and the country.

Softball is played by over 450 teams in leagues in London alone, 400 of which are company teams. This is because it's an activity perfectly suited to the workplace. Softball is played by mixed teams made up of five men and five women, appealing both to the highly competitive and those who aren't very sporty. And because softball is not a traditional sport, it's not dominated by those 'I played County Level at school' know-it-alls. There is a real buzz in the office just before going to play softball and for days after!

BaseballSoftballUK (BSUK) has put together a package of events tailored to the needs of a company. Whether you want to run a softball day, set up a team or run a league at your company, we have a support package for you.

what's in the organiser pack?

  • Learning to play softball has been great for my store. Not only have we burned some calories together and had a lot of fun, we've learned to work together as a team and improve our communication skills. We were very excited to have made the Wickes Finals this year!

Ross Webber, Store Manager, Wickes - Chippenham

  • On behalf of everyone at Carluccio's, a huge thank you to BSUK for organising us this year! I speak on behalf of everyone in saying that it was a huge success and we couldn't have achieved it without your help and support. Speak to you soon regarding next year!

Chris Pool, Regional Operations Director Carluccio's

  • I went along to the Softball Day and just wanted to say a personal thank you. I had a fantastic day. The Softball Day left all of us here feeling upbeat and inspired us to get back into fitness. I look forward to hearing more about the Slough Trading Estate Softball league and getting involved.
